Startup Camp Rijeka is designed to help develop start up proposals into viable businesses. Successful entrepreneurs and investors from Croatia and America will mentor and help future entrepreneurs develop their business ideas into actual businesses.
The camp will gather 30 young entrepreneurs (aged 18 to 35), based on business ideas they submit in their applications. During this five-day long program, participants will have the opportunity to present their ideas for a start-up business. Through a variety of different teambuilding exercises, lectures, and workshops, in addition to individual coaching challenges, they will further hone their ideas and develop an actual product or business. Finally, a panel of four venture capitalists/businesspeople (2 American and 2 Croatian) will evaluate their projects, and the winners will receive awards from the organizing partners.
Start up Camp Rijeka will take place at the Science and Technology Park of the University of Rijeka (Step Ri) from Wednesday, September 2nd, until Sunday, September 6th, 2015.
We strongly encourage teams outside of Croatia to apply. You will receive extraordinary mentoring from both US and Croatian mentors. The organizers will cover lodging expenses for up to two team members
